- Deck-building roguelike taking place in a high-rise tower full of gods and demons
- Build a deck of powerful abilities in a dungeon that keeps changing
- You can also take branching paths and make different decisions
Kazuma Kaneko, the legendary designer behind Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Summoner, is returning with a brand new project, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter. Developed by COLOPL, this roguelike deck-building game is coming to PC, iOS, and Android, combining Kaneko’s signature dark, mythological aesthetic with strategic card-based combat.
Set in a futuristic Tokyo Bay, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter takes place within The Hashira, a towering high-rise that has become a sealed-off battleground. Strange beings called gods and demons now inhabit its halls, and an elite national defence force known as Tsukuyomi has been deployed to reach the top floor and eliminate a powerful target.
If you’re familiar with Kaneko’s past works, you’ll find Tsukuyomi’s setting to be reminiscent of them as it carefully blends urban decay and supernatural horror to create an eerie and tense atmosphere. You’ll be sure to feel the distinct fusion of mythology and cyberpunk themes when it releases later this year.
As a roguelike card game, Tsukuyomi challenges you to build a deck of powerful abilities while navigating an ever-changing dungeon. No two runs are the same and each playthrough presents different cards, layouts, and enemy encounters.
Combat involves fast-paced, turn-based battles where you must choose your actions carefully. With each turn, there’s only one action, which may be either an attack or defence move that can be played. So, you’re going to have to be quick and ensure that you make the right decision.

Dungeon exploration will feature branching paths and key choices that shape your journey. Each choice has lasting consequences, affecting battles and the resources available. And like any true roguelike, failure is unforgiving – losing a fight means losing all progress and starting from scratch, so plan carefully.
Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter is expected to release around June 30th, but that is subject to change. You can pre-register by clicking on your preferred link below.
